Let me get this straight.. You’re offended by a flag?

American-FlagUniversity of California Irvine (ASUCI) students recently voted to approve legislation, designated R50-70, in their legislative council to ban all flags from campus so as to promote a culture of inclusiveness for all students.

In the text of the legislation itself, the only flag ever mentioned is the American Flag.  Old Glory.  The Stars and Stripes. You know, the one where soldiers at Iwo Jima, fighting Imperial Japanese soldiers for inches of ground hoisted the colors on top of the mountain to signify the tide had turned.  The same flag sent to the Moon and back.  The same flag that was raised in Yorktown when General Cornwallis of the British Army was finally defeated and a new nation was born. I’m not a lawyer, but.. #47Traitors or #47Patriots and the Logan Act

Preamble of the Constitution

Depending on which side of the political aisle you’re on, no doubt you have heard the latest dust up regarding whether the Republican Senators who signed the open letter to Iran are traitors. Make no mistake, the liberals are on full blast screaming about how seditious these irresponsible Republicans are, so much so, they have created a petition to get charges filed against these Obama haters. The Constitutional Crisis Obamabots want you to believe

liberals-be-all-angryYesterday, I fisked Paul Waldman’s post regarding the 47 Republican Senator’s open letter to Iran that has caused a great deal of anger among the Democrats.  In it, I included an example of how the Democrats have, in the past, tried to undermine US Foreign policy of a Republican President.  Today, on Twitchy, there are even more examples of how Democrat Senators went to see communist leaders to undermine foreign policy objectives of the sitting President, in this case, Ronald Reagan

Democrats are beginning to act as if the President forgets there is a Constitution

facepalmThis is in response to the Paul Waldman’s extreme whining titled:  Republicans are beginning to act as though Barack Obama isn’t even the president

Let’s examine what he says..

It’s safe to say that no president in modern times has had his legitimacy questioned by the opposition party as much as Barack Obama. But as his term in office enters its final phase, Republicans are embarking on an entirely new enterprise: They have decided that as long as he holds the office of the presidency, it’s no longer necessary to respect the office itself.

Gun Control, Gabby Giffords, and Facts: How to offend liberals.

Gabby_giffords

Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelley testifying before Congress

From the Slate:

But the big problem with the mocking argument put forth by Breitbart and the NRA (which did not return a call seeking comment) is that it misses the entire point of Giffords’ advocacy. She is not devoting herself to the cause of expanding background checks because that measure would have stopped Loughner, but because that measure is the one that police and criminal justice experts believe would have the biggest impact on reducing gun violence overall. The same was true of the families of the victims in the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre: Universal background checks would not have stopped Adam Lanza, who got his guns from his mother, but the families wanted to push for whatever reform would limit shooting deaths, period. Making it harder for people with criminal records, histories of domestic violence, and adjudications for mental illness to obtain guns is one of the best measures at our disposal to do so.

King George Obama IV: Raising Taxes by Unilateral Executive Actions

king_ObamaWith blessings from Senator Bernie Sanders.  From the Townhall:

“The president certainly has not indicated any reticence in using his executive authority to try and advance an agenda that benefits middle class Americans,” Earnest said in response to a question about Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) calling on Obama to raise more than $100 billion in taxes through IRS executive action.

“Now I don’t want to leave you with the impression that there is some imminent announcement, there is not, at least that I know of,” Earnest continued. “But the president has asked his team to examine the array of executive authorities that are available to him to try to make progress on his goals. So I am not in a position to talk in any detail at this point, but the president is very interested in this avenue generally,” Earnest finished.

NY Times Editorial Board: Republicans Assault On Immigration

Oh, poor baby!

NY Times Editorial Board is mad Judge thinks Obama should follow the rules.

The NY Times Editorial Board opined on the Federal Judge that halted Obama’s Amnesty.  In its attempt to paint the Judge as an opponent of President Obama, the hit piece does little more than run cover for the President by repeating the same arguments that the Judge made in his ruling as if somehow, the Judge did not understand the issue.
