Growing up in the plains of the Midwest, my journey through life has taken me to places around the world.  I am a US Army veteran having served within the US Army and National Guard for ten years.  While I have served in combat in a support role (not like the heroes of the infantry and cavalry) I have seen the worst and the best in humanity.

My political preferences are Conservative, something I have always had since growing up during the Reagan era in High School and College.  I don’t hate anyone who has a different opinion; I enjoy the art of debate where people use facts to make informed opinions.  I can be swayed by arguments and facts, but don’t get mad if I take yours down.  Listening to people is what makes compromise work.  I will listen so long as you don’t distort what I say or hijack the argument.

I am also a horrible writer.  While I’m trying to learn how to express myself by improving my writing skills, if you are someone that can offer advice, I’d surely like to hear it.  I don’t have a great deal of time to dedicate to the blog, but I am always looking to improve myself, even if it is a little bit every day.
