It’s been a couple of weeks since I have posted one of these. Not that I don’t have a lot to be thankful for, I just have a lot going on in real life.

It has been a lot of hit and miss around the blog lately because work has been extremely intense. This has been the first weekend that I have not had to work in the last couple of months. Logging 70 and 80 hours a week has become the “norm” so it is good that I finally get a weekend. Continue reading

The last couple of weeks, I have been battling a very resilient cold. I’ve been fortunate that I hardly ever get sick, but when I do, the cold manages to turn me into the worst patient. Work has been crazy. Two of the projects I have been working on with very aggressive timelines are impacted by both Harvey and Irma due to colleagues who work in the areas affected. The result has been for me to pick up additional work so my affected coworkers could focus on family and recovery efforts.
