This week, we give thanks to those who give to others who are in need from unexpected circumstances.

I have friends and family in the Houston area that were affected by the devastating impact of Hurricane Harvey. Thankfully, no one was injured and the damage has been limited to cleanup from the flooding aftermath.

For many, the impacts were much more severe. The response by total strangers has been moving on so many levels. While i have been busy at work with other responsibilities, I did make an additional donation to the relief efforts through the American Red Cross.
