It would seem that the media wants to make sure all of its irrational fears have adequate safeguards in place.

A major disaster is in progress in the State of Texas. Many are doing what they can to help regardless of their political affiliation. And yet, some liberals in the media can’t help themselves. Continue reading

I see pictures of Max Klinger, the enlisted man from Toledo, Ohio, (character played by actor Jamie Farr) in the M*A*S*H TV series, being shared all over the internet as some sort of symbol of transgender people serving in the military.
Corporal Klinger was bucking for a Section 8, which was a designation of being unfit due to psychological issues. Cross dressing was considered a mental problem and Klinger was trying to exploit that loophole for several seasons, unsuccessfully. Nevermind that in earlier seasons, he attempted to leave by many different means, only to be brought back by the MP’s or thwarted when his scams were uncovered.
He ended up putting his dresses away in the final three seasons as he became the company clerk, replacing the lovable Radar O’Reilly. At no time did Klinger ever claim to want to become a woman. He was married to a woman in the show. He just wanted to dress in women’s clothing as a way to get out of the army.
I loved the character, despite his antics. He was a good man.
The social justice warriors of today who are busy trying to rewrite history may disagree. All you have to do is watch the show. Hope that clears things up.

Math and History are hard for some journalists..

The leftists all have a renewed sense of outrage when it was discovered that Donald Trump, Jr, met with a lawyer who had ties to the Russian government under the guise that she had information that could help the Trump campaign.
Of course, her ties were unbeknownst to Trump, Jr and Rob Goldstone, the man who facilitated the meeting. And equally so, she was someone looking to gain an audience to push another agenda.
This is in response to the Paul Waldman’s extreme whining titled: Republicans are beginning to act as though Barack Obama isn’t even the president
Let’s examine what he says..
It’s safe to say that no president in modern times has had his legitimacy questioned by the opposition party as much as Barack Obama. But as his term in office enters its final phase, Republicans are embarking on an entirely new enterprise: They have decided that as long as he holds the office of the presidency, it’s no longer necessary to respect the office itself.
Sharyl Attkisson posts this and quotes a story from NY Magazine. Here is the relevant portion (bold mine):
That October, Myers couldn’t get Williams to air a segment about how the White House knew as far back as 2010 that some people would lose their insurance policies under Obamacare. Frustrated, Myers posted the article on NBC’s website, where it immediately went viral. Williams relented and ran it the next night. “He didn’t want to put stories on the air that would be divisive,” a senior NBC journalist told me. According to a source, Myers wrote a series of scathing memos to then–NBC senior vice-president Antoine Sanfuentes documenting how Williams suppressed her stories.
I have been reading Attkisson’s stories for the past several months that document her struggles with CBS to attempt to get investigative reporting on the air. The major networks all deny that there is some bias, and even today, some journalists will look you square in the eye and deny it when you know they have their fingers crossed behind their backs.
