This past week, I read a couple of books, that, for me, were a bit intertwined, unintentionally.

I don’t think that word means what you think it does..
In a discussion on my Joni Ernst narrative piece, the commenter “flintandsteel” used the word “seditious” in describing the Senator Tom Cotton’s open letter to Iran. I generally wave off this kind of hyperbole because, mostly, it’s used for effect. Liberals use such words, especially out of context, when there is serious butthurt about something Republicans do against the President.
However, I noticed a number of my liberal friends were also using these words on Facebook posts, tweets, and comments on various articles around the interwebs. It was bad enough that the word “treason” was used, which, under the Constitution, has a totally different meaning. Continue reading

The President and Unions: Walker gets under President’s skin.
On twitter, the Blaze has this tweet:
Protecting the Legacy of Obama: The Impact of the Media
Sharyl Attkisson posts this and quotes a story from NY Magazine. Here is the relevant portion (bold mine):
That October, Myers couldn’t get Williams to air a segment about how the White House knew as far back as 2010 that some people would lose their insurance policies under Obamacare. Frustrated, Myers posted the article on NBC’s website, where it immediately went viral. Williams relented and ran it the next night. “He didn’t want to put stories on the air that would be divisive,” a senior NBC journalist told me. According to a source, Myers wrote a series of scathing memos to then–NBC senior vice-president Antoine Sanfuentes documenting how Williams suppressed her stories.
I have been reading Attkisson’s stories for the past several months that document her struggles with CBS to attempt to get investigative reporting on the air. The major networks all deny that there is some bias, and even today, some journalists will look you square in the eye and deny it when you know they have their fingers crossed behind their backs. Leftist Techies and the “It’s just an email server. Big deal!”
I was reading the twitterz today and was surprised by some of the people in my feed, who “claim” to have some experience in IT, try to explain away that Hillary having an email server was not a big deal. In fact, one person was a little taken aback that a reporter thought having an email server in her own home was a big deal.
Incredibly, he called the entire thing bogus because the reporter was technically ignorant. His followers were quick to give him quite the backslap.

Folks, Your Government in Action
Transparency
FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler (D) is now refusing to testify before Congress, ignoring their oversight responsibilities to question his new FCC regulations, for which he has kept absolutely secret. You do realize the Administration has claimed they are the most “Transparent Administration in History” right?
Sticking with the Narrative
Climate Scientist and Professor Roger Pielke, Jr along with seven other scientists, are being targeted in a witch hunt because they have testified before Congress that casts doubt on the effects of carbon emissions. Professor Pielke was noted for the claim that it is “incorrect to associate the increasing costs of disasters with the emission of greenhouse gases.” They are being investigated by Rep. Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ) for “unreported conflicts of interests from funding received from oil and other corporate interests.”
The Witch Trials of Climate Change Religion
Dr. Willie Soon, an Aerospace engineer and prominent Climate expert, has been attacked by the left because of the possibility some of his research may have been funded by “fossil fuel” and corporate interests.
What sparked this latest attack was due to the fact that Dr. Soon and three other scientists had a paper recently published that showed computer models used in predicting climate were running hot. This paper demonstrates, once again, evidence contrary to the dogma of the Climate Change Religion.
Michelle Malkin: DHS won’t release hyped report on CNN
CNN reported about the publication regarding domestic terrorism. Other news outlets also picked up the story, but CNN spent considerable time discussing during a few broadcasts. Continue reading
