I’m not a hoarder.  Anyone who knows me understands that I’m not a pack rat or like to have a lot of “things”.  I’m not a big fan of clutter. This flies in the face of my former spouses who loved to fill storage spaces full of things that “may be needed in the future.”

I’m not saying that’s a bad thing; rather it becomes a problem when there are things I do use that end up in the “to eventually be used” cabinets and closets underneath all the things meant for a future that may or may never come. Searching for them under a nebulous inventory management system is frustrating.

This weekend, while looking for a hanger to put some laundry away, I became rather annoyed at just how many clothes I have that I don’t wear or need.  So what started out as putting away a few clothes turned into a “purging” event with three large trash bags delivered to the local Goodwill.

Some of those articles were hardly worn so another person will get the benefit of wearing practically new clothes at far less than what I probably paid for it. I’m good with that. I’ve bought from Goodwill or similar places in the past and they provide a benefit.

Now I have more hangers which means there will come a time to buy things to hang. Or maybe I’ll purge the hangers.
