Remembering the Fallen Heroes

We honor the brave men and women who dared to run into the burning buildings of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, after men with evil in their hearts and soul flew airplanes filled with innocent people into the superstructures.

Almost three-thousand people lost their lives within a couple of hours after the attack. Another airplane headed to Washington was in the midst of being overtaken by alert passengers who realized what was about to happen, and took matters into their own hands.

The sacrifice of so many heroes who cared more about their fellow citizen than themselves is a testament to what being an American is all about. They risked their lives with no thought of their own safety, only to later perish.

We celebrate their heroism and sacrifice. May God comfort their souls and of the families who lost their loved ones.

We will never forget.

Veterans Day Flag

Today is Veteran’s Day.  A shout out to those who I have served alongside, and everyone who has served this great country.

We pay tribute to the fathers, mothers, sons and daughters who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in protecting the freedoms we are granted through His Grace.

May God continue to bless the United States of America.

Honoring a hero.

Police say Riley Howell gave his life by confronting the shooter and knocking him off balance.  He made the ultimate sacrifice to protect other students.

Rest in Peace, Riley.
