Spent today with a good friend who battled cancer while in high school a few years ago.  While sitting at a Starbucks, she and I finally had a chance to catch up on her quest to become a nurse, as she says, to pay it forward and help others.

Too often we get caught up in our petty struggles only to realize there are some who deal with challenges far greater than our own.  It was only a couple of years ago where she was in the fight for her life.  Now, you could pass her on the street and never realize how close she came to losing her battle.

It is these moments that remind us to cherish the moments God gives us and to remind us to be grateful for all our blessings.
