In 1882, Australian Hugh Victor McKay created the first commercial combine harvester called the Sunshine Harvester. George Stockton Berry later created the steam powered combine harvester.

Brazil couldn’t afford to send its 69 athletes to Los Angeles for the Summer Olympics in 1932, so they put them on a ship with 50,000 sacks of coffee and sold the beans at different ports along the way.

After the Greeks invented front-loaded bread ovens, the art of baking bread advanced significantly. They were able to bake a wide variety of doughs and loaf shapes, which eventually led to baking as a trade and an economic powerhouse.
