Remembering the Fallen Heroes

We honor the brave men and women who dared to run into the burning buildings of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, after men with evil in their hearts and soul flew airplanes filled with innocent people into the superstructures.

Almost three-thousand people lost their lives within a couple of hours after the attack. Another airplane headed to Washington was in the midst of being overtaken by alert passengers who realized what was about to happen, and took matters into their own hands.

The sacrifice of so many heroes who cared more about their fellow citizen than themselves is a testament to what being an American is all about. They risked their lives with no thought of their own safety, only to later perish.

We celebrate their heroism and sacrifice. May God comfort their souls and of the families who lost their loved ones.

We will never forget.

Fun Fact of the Day

In honor of the heroes who paid the ultimate price during the attack by radical Islamic terrorists on 9/11:

Todd Beamer of Cransbury, New Jersey, uttered the words “Let’s roll” before hanging up with his wife on United Flight 93.  Beamer, along with several others, organized a plan to overtake the hijackers and ultimately perished when the plane was forced down.

We will never forget.
