On a serious note, I think Bill Nye’s intent to encourage young people to go into science by making a TV show that focuses on the wonders of science itself was quite noble.

However, it’s one thing when you’re helping kids become interested in a profession that needs smart people to help advance our civilization.  It’s another when you become a policy advocate and leverage your TV persona as an expert when you’re not.

When he debates Climate Change, he often fails to win on facts, and instead appeals to authority or your emotions.  And when he has facts, they are often misleading, debunked or just plain wrong.

Oh well.  Another failure of liberal indoctrination.
