It’s entirely possible he’s been delayed for a valid reason. His remaining (known) twitter accounts have not had any new posts since the end of May.
I haven’t checked my logs to see if there are any hits along the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to Burlington, Iowa possible routes. I would think he’d tweet more since he likes to share pictures of his trips which is why I haven’t bothered to look. If he’s being kept busy, that works for me.
On the other hand, I would feel bad for him if he traveled that far out and was told while walking in the door to turn around and that his services were no longer needed. I think its important for people to have a job they want and be successful at it. His other job of a disabled reporter writing for a horrible blog, harassing Brett Kimberlin’s adversaries and suing everyone who posted a comment about him was not a good career move. That part of his resume has lasting repercussions. Whether it has impacted this job or not, remains, but if he doesn’t show up, it will be interesting to hear why.
Update: It’s entirely possible that he’s on the air and working. The station does not stream their broadcast and I am not sure if there are little birdies in the area to verify. It’s also possible the station’s web master is a shared resource and will eventually get around to updating the non-feed content. In any case, the silence of Bill’s social media accounts may also be due to lack of availability of his cell phone provider.
Then again, it’s only Wednesday and if he was booted on Tuesday, he wouldn’t be back until perhaps tomorrow or Friday. In any case, the pool sheets are still up in the break room.

Perhaps William was shocked to discover that Burlington is full of Drumpf deplorables like every other boondock village his radio career has been relegated to, and declared that job was sour anyway.
Perhaps William rubbed the many scenic kerbs between Myrtle Beach and Burlington once too often.
Perhaps he was pulled over for driving an unroadworthy vehicle and immediately evacuated his digestive tract, as is his custom when greeting authorities.
Or perhaps KQ92 discovered google, and William didn’t have a say in it. Yes, that’s it.

Or maybe, and I know this is a stretch, William Schmalfeldt Sr. holder of 12 or 13 restraining orders, has finally learned that he was harassing the wrong people and is finally understanding his best move is to keep his mouth shut and his head down to avoid attracting their attention again.
