Rule 5: Monday

I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July. I spent the holiday at a convention in Texas, where the fireworks show was spectacular – it ran from sundown on the 4th all the way until sunrise on the 5th. I made it home safely and just in time to get this week’s posts queued up.

Politics came up more than once during the trip, and the contrast between liberals and normal, everyday people was on full display. One exchange in particular stood out: a white, elderly liberal woman went toe-to-toe with a soon-to-be-naturalized citizen from Colombia. The immigrant delivered such a sharp, savage verbal beatdown that people who had gathered to listen started applauding.

The unfortunate part was that several young children were nearby and witnessed the whole thing, including the liberal woman’s vulgarity and sheer derangement. You could see the parents struggling to explain it without being too blunt. At one point, a mother rolled her eyes, turned to her teenage son, and said, “Honey, that woman is just crazy. That’s what happens when all you do is hate.”

The liberal definitely needed some flowers after that one. And speaking of flowers… here’s the start of your Rule 5 week.
