Thanks NY-14! You elected one hell of a representative.
So an elected member of Congress is going to use her power to harass a private citizen for expressing his protected opinion?
What could POSSIBLY go wrong?
Ms. Cortez is really helping herself and her colleagues. She is vying to get on powerful committees to push her leftist agenda. She has the media behind her.
In other words, the Dems and media own her. Let’s see if she become self-aware.
Do you believe it is acceptable for an un-elected white house employee whose father is President of the United States to troll the citizen’s elected representatives?
The family in the White House is not Royalty, they are there at the will of the people.
Do you think that by trolling the young woman who the majority of voters chose to represent them and their interests, Don Jr. is showing that he and his father respect the American people and their choices.
And he was trolling, he was not expressing his opinion. There was absolutely no factual basis for his post. Don Jr. does not really believe that socialists eat dogs. His post had only one purpose… to bully a young congresswoman before she has even had a chance to start her new job. She did nothing but remind him of his manners and chide him for behaving in such a childish and ultimately very transparent way.

Junior isn’t in the White House, he’s running the Trump Organization. Ocasio Cortez isn’t being bullied, she’s stepped into the ring. The Congresswoman Victim bullshit is not going to work.
Socialists don’t eat dogs? Aside from Obama, you’re probably right. Their poor citizens do though, because it beats starving to death.

Socialism is for the people, not the Socialists. Maduro eats $100 steaks while Venezuelan babies suffer from malnutrition.

I am torn between two statements about how Pablo responded to RemediaEthics. So I’ll say them both.
1. OOOOOOPPSSS!!!!
(Like Val Kilmer’s Doc Holiday’s ooopppss in the movie tombstone)
and
2.) Pablo just did a mic drop on RemedialEthics.
Funny how Remedial never responded to Pablo, isn’t it?

I’d say his ethics and his ‘knowledge’ seem to need quite a lot of remediating.

Oh, and threatening subpoena is not “nothing but reminding him of his manners.” It’s an abuse of her office. Rep. Occasional-Cortex has some ethics lessons to learn.

Re: Palblo 09:28:
No, she probably doesn’t. She is fighting the good fight. Actual ethics be damned, she would have to learn to read, then read them, then care, before actual facts mattered.

Yeah, I was going to ask RE if he/she/it really thinks a Congressional subpoena is an appropriate response to mockery. Because that’s what it actually was, not trolling.
Further: yep, Obama ate a dog.

not ‘a majority of voters’, a majority of voters in one lousy district in NY, she’s a dumpy little rep not queen of the universe.
damn but does she ever shut that gob hole?

She won a Primary, and ran un-opposed in the General Election. I bet she didn’t even get 25% of the eligible votes.

It may not be “acceptable … to troll the citizen’s elected representatives?“, but it is a right to do so. And as others have pointed out. threatening a Congressional subpoena is not reminding him of his manners, and may in fact be a violation of the law and Congressional ethics. Every time AOC opens her Twitter mouth, she proves she should be nowhere near the levers of power.

Who is the loon who thinks (appropriate) mockery is a threat?
