Someone should mention to Ian that the reason the amendment was added was because

.. wait for it..

A democrat.

Ian has issues in general in how he interprets the Constitution, so any comment he makes regarding “qualified” should be taken with a grain. or truck.. full of salt.  The fact he works for the loony Think Progress site is probably all you need to know about him.

But to go a bit further, the Constitution has a set of qualifications:  Must be 35 years old, a resident of the US for 14 years, and a natural born citizen.  The other “qualifications” that people like Millhiser like to apply are merely voter preferences.

In other words, he wants an illegal Obama presidency so he can sleep better a night.
