Sex Trafficking Morality: You Can’t Save the Young Girls without Abortion.. wut?

wait_wutSex Trafficking legislation in the Senate is held up due to a provision in the legislation that prohibits money from a new fund in the bill to pay for abortions.  It’s a single line in the bill that has caused Dems to go crazy.

What is more astonishing is this bill’s history, and how it all came about.  Townhall has a great fact checking article that summarizes key facts about this legislation and evolution.

To summarize, nevermind that:

  • The legislation passed as written unanimously from the Senate Judiciary Committee.
  • The legislation has 13 Democrat co-sponsors.
  • McConnell offered the Dems an up or down vote to remove the language, and they refused.
  • More than half of American’s are AGAINST federal funding of abortions.

So somewhere, down the line, the Democrats suddenly changed tune and decided that such language was harmful to the legislation.. or something.  And figuring they could muscle the Republican’s into removing it, the Dem machine has gone into full spin mode with Senators trying for Oscar nominations:

At some point, Republicans are going to have to figure out how to formulate and push a much more responsible narrative that will resonate with the press and the American people, and push back against the insane liberal agenda.

You know, something like “Democrats care more about funding the killing of unborn human life than protecting young girls from being used for sexual purposes.  Don’t these girls deserve human rights, too?”
