The latest snowstorm in New York City showcases Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s attempt to turn his role into social media phenomenon. After all, Mamdani is nothing more than a social media figure who espouses Marxist ideology that resonated with many young people that moved to the city, and helped him get elected.

Now, he wants to hire scores of New Yorkers using the warm embrace of collectivism to .. *squints* .. “shovel snow to help unprepared New Yorkers.” Eager shovel-ready citizens can get paid! You just need to download a form, fill it out, and then .. wait for it.. bring 3 things: Two photo ID’s and a social security card. Really?

Over the last several weeks, I am reliably informed that such ID’s are racist and a legacy of White Supremacy, European colonizers, and the Patriarchy. Shouldn’t I just be able to shovel a few driveways and just provide an address of where to send the check? They require more ID’s than a Somalian Day Care provider. I’ve never seen such bigotry by an elected government official, and the liberals in New York need to take a stand.

In the meantime, let’s all enjoy the warm embrace of making desserts at home.
