.. and the failure has been far longer than that.
I was perusing Bill Schmalfeldt’s latest “rebranded” twitter and noticed he has a link to a sorta, kinda, not-really online resume. Here is a quick screen shot.
Now, I’m not a resume expert by any means, but I must admit this is probably the standard when it comes to advertising, “I’m a failure and not afraid to admit it.”
I was rather amused by this:
If you believe radio can and should be a force for good, that radio can bring folks together instead if being used as a tool to divide us in to tribes, then you have a radio station that I would like to work for.
He’s alluding to his progressive creds – as an old “white” guy. Funny, he’s about as close to a tribal white nationalist as they come while wearing an “I’m a liberal” banner.
If you are looking for someone with a warm one-on-one communication style, someone who can get your listeners smiling and talking, someone who has been doing this for a long, long time, someone who doesn’t HAVE to work but WANTS to, then you should get in touch with me.
Guys, he’s warm and friendly! Also, he doesn’t HAVE to work. He WANTS to work but only for the right opportunity because of his soooo awesome amazing skills.
About those skills, he offers a few links to a private library of his “greatest” hits – very memorable to him but forgettable for any prestigious awards nominations. He does provide a picture of his participation in an award ceremony for NIH, but so far, can’t find anything where anyone outside his office thought much of his work.
The last part he explains just how much of a ninja user he is with computer software, but if you were to get an idea of just who Bill Schmalfeldt is, what are his thoughts, how involved is he with industry trends, all one must do is click the “Blog” link..
You would think with his past prolific blog postings and constant oversharing, he would have unearthed some nugget of brilliance that might knock the socks off that hiring manager who is desperate for talent!
This has been active for seven months. Only 50 hits. Those marketing skills are REALLY paying off!
But, he should be working for YOU!
