The “Most Qualified Candidate Ever to be President” and she doesn’t seem to know when to be gracious or smart.
Here she is, in Mumbai, India, talking about why she lost.
“.. the map doesn’t show you is that I won the places that represent two-thirds of America’s gross domestic product.”
States she won:
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, DC, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington.
Those states combined GDP in 2016: 9,210,266,000,000.
Trump states combined GDP in 2016: 9,246,027,000,000.
Now it’s possible she was referring to specific urban counties, something I haven’t tracked, but the data I downloaded and compiled came from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. I compiled it by state since that’s where your electors come from.
Even so, if I had more time, I would go county by county to verify, but even then, I’m not so sure it supports her figues.
And to light that last bridge on fire, she then called all the places she won as “diverse, dynamic, forward thinking..” and everyone else “doesn’t like black people getting rights, don’t like women getting jobs, don’t wanna see that Indian-American succeed..” while sitting with a group of people in Mumbai.
In her words, people in Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Florida and all other red states she couldn’t win are bad people.
Democrats – she’s all yours. Own it.
