Battle Lines Drawn

Last week, I wrote about how Democrats were changing the rules regarding sexual harassment and assault allegations. Many within the party leadership were going all in against those who were accused of sexual improprieties.

While writers such as Amanda Marcotte from Salon are pushing the narrative that conservatives are looking to push back on the #metoo movement, the men of the Democrat party are stepping to the front of the line and mansplaining, “Well hold on there, ladies”

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) has now rescinded his original call for Senator Al Franken (D-MN) to resign and now wants him to stay.  According to the Politico article, Democrat Fossil Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) has regretted his call for resignation.  And two other male senators, who wish to remain anonymous for fear that the Women’s caucus will call their wives, also want Franken to stay.

Even newly elected Doug Jones says that Trump should not resign, almost assuredly angering the Democrat Women’s caucus that spent so much energy trying to get him elected over Roy Moore.  Will he jump on the “Franken must stay” bandwagon?

Actor Sir Ian McKellen has come out to say that women are partly to blame for the showbiz scandal.  In the article he says that women often sleep with directors to get roles.  Wonder if there are some parallels here in politics?

For the feminists that supported Al Franken for purely political objectives, this is likely to cause some deep resentment among the warriors that adapted the new rules and expect their unyielding enforcement. Beta-Male Meninists like Scott Dork..I mean Dworkin will be caught in the middle having to choose between Joy Reid and Bill Clinton, since inevitably, this will all come back to him. And perhaps, Ted Kennedy.. or the whole Kennedy clan.

The stage is set for a particularly brutal showdown of who can win the contrived war for social justice within the Democrat party.

Brace for impact.
